Does Go Barefoot have knowledge of each location?
Go Barefoot is proud to have direct contact and a close relationship with all its tourism partners. We have been integral in developing ecotourism adventures and cultural travel projects in several destinations. We endeavour to ensure that one of our team members has visited the destination plus, at a minimum, our local partners have inspected proposed accommodation providers and activities.
Are itineraries flexible?
Yes, Go Barefoot designs tailor-made experiences. Our website proposes itineraries, designed in collaboration with local partners, which we feel offer the most enjoyable and fulfilling experience. We can adapt our proposed itineraries to accommodate any specific traveller requests for individuals or small groups.
What do our itineraries include?
Full details of inclusions are detailed within each specific itinerary and can be tailored to your preferences. International and domestic flights can be arranged where requested. Our experiences do not include personal travel insurance, meals other than stated, visa costs, or items of a personal nature such as telephone calls.
Are Go Barefoot destinations safe?
We advise all tourists to keep up to date on travel guidance and global political situations using the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office´s ´Know Before You Go´. We maintain regular and direct contact with in-country partners who provide us with up-to-date news.
How do I book & pay for my travel experience?
Firstly, we tailor an itinerary according to your request, taking into account the budget and experience. We then provide an invoice confirming the final itinerary, price, payment instructions, plus, our Booking Conditions. To confirm your reservation, a minimum 20% deposit of the total price is required, in addition to a completed Booking Form. The remainder or full payment is due within 70 days before your departure date. Payment can be made in British Pound Sterling by bank transfer, cheque, credit or debit card. For international payments from non-UK customers the price may vary according to the exchange rate, which will be confirmed on your invoice at the time of booking. Confirmation receipts for all customer payments are provided.
Can I make alterations once booked?
Yes. We endeavor to make alterations or fulfill new requests following your booking assuming it is in line with our Booking Conditions.
Does Go Barefoot provide pre-departure support?
Our team provides advice on which destination and itinerary type would best suit your desired experience and expectations. Upon payment of your booking we provide pre-departure packs including: • Insurance and flight booking recommendations; • Cultural and historical information relevant to the destination; • Sustainable and safety travel tips.
Is Go Barefoot financially protected?
Yes. With Go Barefoot your money is 100% financially protected. The Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tours Regulations 1992 require Go Barefoot to provide security for the monies that you pay for any package holidays. Our membership with Travel Trust Association (number Q1094) provides 100% financial protection for your holiday booking. All monies paid to Go Barefoot are guaranteed by the Travel Trust Association. Your money remains in the Trust Account and is supervised by an appointed trustee who is a banker, chartered or certified accountant, or a solicitor. Both the Travel Trust Association members and the Trustee are required to authorise payments from the trust account. Additionally, upon booking a guarantee certificate is issued.
