Cook traditional meals in a Jordanian family home, discover the remarkable stone city of Petra escorted by a Bedouin guide, and spend the night in the Mars-like Wadi Rum desert before treating yourself and unwinding on the shores of the Dead Sea. For those who want to continue their adventure, we recommend exploring Palestine and Israel.

December – August


Day 1: Amman Arrival
Our representative will be waiting for you after your plane lands. Our pre-arranged visas allow guests to move quickly through immigration and on to their adventure. Your driver will then transfer you to your 4* hotel in Amman for your overnight.
Day 2: Amman - Orjan
Today you will see the historical sites of Amman including the Citadel and Roman theater. You’ll then walk through the fruit and vegetable market, experiencing all sorts of new sights, smells and sounds. From there, you be guided to a popular local restaurant to sample traditional Jordanian meal of falafel and hummus. Your driver will then take you to the northern village of Orjan. Nestled amongst green hills and the neighboring Ajloun nature reserve, this village will connect you to life in rural Jordan. Tonight you will have dinner with a Jordanian family and then spend the night in their home. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 3: Ajloun Castle - Jerash - Ammarin Camp
After breakfast you will visit the nearby Ajloun castle, built by the nephew of the famous Arab general Saladin. From there your driver will take you to Jerash, one of the largest Roman cities in the Middle East. After your 2-3 hour tour of Jerash, you will head south to the Ammarin Bedouin camp, located within the Petra archeological reserve. The Ammarin camp, owned and operated by the local Ammarin tribe, is working toward sustainable cultural preservation. Ammarin Camp has hot showers available but please bring your own towels. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Day 4: Petra - Wadi Musa
After breakfast, you will begin your hike with a local Bedouin escort to the Monastery of Petra. A marvel of natural beauty and jaw-dropping engineering, Petra is incredible. Feel like you discover Petra yourself as this hike takes you to an entrance far from all other tourists. Spend the rest of the day exploring this wonder of the world before checking into your hotel for the evening. Hotel 5* in Wadi Musa, with breakfast.
Day 5: Wadi Rum National Park
After breakfast, you’ll head to the Mars-like Wadi Rum. Our Bedouin guide will take you on a jeep tour through the nature reserve, sharing his love for the desert with you. You’ll have lunch in the desert, scramble up sandstone boulders, and take in a silent other worldly sunset. Tonight you’ll have your dinner and overnight in a Bedouin camp located within the nature reserve. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Note: we can arrange for camel rides, hot air balloon rides or a variety of desert hikes. Private camping in the desert can be arranged instead of the Bedouin camp. Showers are not available for either overnight option.
Day 6: Dead Sea
After your Jordan adventure you will need a self-pampering break. Soak up the sun and the detoxing nature of the Dead Sea. You’ll spend the day at a 5 star resort, relaxing by the pools or floating in the remarkable waters of the Dead Sea. Meals: breakfast.
Day 7: Amman Departure or Palestine / Israel Extension
After breakfast your driver will take you to Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport for your departure. If you are adding on an Israel/Palestine tour, your driver will take you to the nearby Allenby bridge to cross the border.
