Day 1: Bari or Brindisi Airport - Cisternino
Arrival at Bari or Brindisi airport, transfer to the hotel and accommodation. In the afternoon visit to the city: Basilica of Saint Nicholas with its monumental crypt, where the relics of Saint Nicholas are kept, the Romanesque Cathedral of San Sabino, the Norman-Swabian Castle and the nineteenth century “Murat” quarter. Overnight stay in Cisternino.
Day 2: Cisternino - Alberobello - Ostuni
Breakfast and departure to Alberobello, the only city in the world built with drystone dwellings known as Trulli, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Visit to the Monti and Aia Piccola quarters. Then continuation of the tour to Ostuni, commonly referred to as “The White Town” with narrow winding streets in its old city centre. Overnight in Cisternino. Our suggest for your dinner: taste quality of apulian food and meat in one of restaurants in Cisternino historical centre.
Day 3: Cisternino - Castellana Caves - Savelletri
Breakfast and departure to Castellana Caves, one of the most popular’s cave in South of Italy. After the sightseeing, your trip continue to Savelletri and stop in Egnazia Archeological Park, an ancient park built from the local ancient community named “Messapi” before the little town becomes a roman district. For your lunch we suggest you: Alba Chiara, a little chalet over the seas with taste of good fresh fish.
Day 4: Cisternino - Brindisi - Otranto
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning check out from Masseria Villa Cenci and visit of one of the ancient apulian port: Brindisi. A little walking tour near the port to the Aragonese Castle; after the city sightseeing we suggest you a stop to Torre Santa Sabina, a silent beach, to enjoy the sea or Lido Specchiolla, nearby Carovigno town. Your trip continue till Otranto, accomodation in a tipical Salentina Masseria: Masseria Panareo. Overnight.
Day 5: Otranto
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning visit of one’s of the most arabian cities in South Italy and the most eastern tip of peninsula: Otranto, with bizantine church, little alleys up and down. Not to miss: Aragonese Castle, Annunziata Cathedral and the Port. In the afternoon we suggest the following beaches: Baia dei Turchi, Alimini, Acaya, Torre dell’Orso. Overnight in Masseria.
Day 6: Otranto - Lecce
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning visit to Lecce, the capital of the Baroque Style. Piazza del Duomo, Santa Croce, the Roman Amphiteater and the workshop of “papier maché” can not be missed. In the afternoon trip to Galatina, to admire the Basilica of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria in late Gothic style, very unusual in Apulia, with inner walls covered with frescoes. Return to the hotel in Otranto in the evening.
Day 7: Otranto - Santa Maria di Leuca - Gallipoli - Otranto
The whole day is dedicated to che excursion along the coastline of the Salentine peninsula, proceeding towards south, before arriving in Santa Maria di leuca, enjoy a little stop for relax in Porto Badisco to swim into crystalline blue water or stop in Zinzulusa Caves. Then continuation to S. Maria di Leuca, the extreme tip of the heel of Italy where two seas meet. In the afternoon the tour heads along the Ionian coast, stops in Gallipoli for a visit to the island of the old town, that nowadays is linked to the land through a Sixteenth century bridge. Return in Otranto, overnight.
Day 8: Otranto - Brindisi
Breakfast, transfer to the airport and departure or extend your stay in one of our Masserie (farmhouses) or Hotel, to enjoy the beauty of the land and his crystal sea.
